Tourist Visa Hong Kong
Visitors from most countries can enter Hong Kong without a visa for periods of seven days to six months.

Hong Kong maintains a separate and independent immigration system from that of mainland China. This means that unlike mainland China, visitors from most countries can enter Hong Kong without a visa for periods of seven days to six months, depending on nationality. Check with the Chinese embassy or consulate for the latest status.

However, this also means that a separate visa is still required to enter mainland China from Hong Kong. Detailed visa requirements are available from the Immigration Department at a Chinese embassy or consulate. Those who require visas should apply for one at a Chinese embassy, but note that the Hong Kong vise has to be applied for separately from the mainland Chinese one. Many nationalities are able to get an onward visa for mainland China issued while in Hong Kong. In the foyer in the arrivals area at Hong Kong International Airport you will find a kiosk that issues them. Remember that a photograph will be required.
