Fishing is popular in China as it almost everywhere. There are a countless number of fine fishing rivers, streams and lakes in China, although many rivers and lakes are polluted.
Deep sea fishing is usually organized through charter boat companies in the major seaside resorts. Freshwater fishing is usually organized through fishing outfitters. Fishing on your own takes some research. Since fish regulations vary from place to place, inquire about licenses and regulations at the hotels or local tourist offices.
